ELI Rules
Eclectic Learning Institute Rules of Conduct
1. Learning is for everyone; we treat everyone with respect. Get to know each other, listen to one another, and make new friends.
2. We respect and care for one another’s fandom/style and don’t criticize each other’s interests. It's alright to dislike something, however, do not insult, simply say you dislike it.
3. Only appropriate genres of arts/ culture are shared with each other. (NO Ecchi, Hentai, Yuri, Yaoi, Shoujo-ai, or Shounen-ai, etc, etc.) This is a zero tolerance rule. 1 warning will be given; if offense continues mediation will determine expulsion time or indefinite ban.
4. We honor each other’s parents boundaries concerning what other’s are allowed to read/watch. Hurtful teasing or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
5. Being good stewards of our surroundings and borrowed facilities is a priority for our group, putting chairs away and throwing out trash after every meetings. This means no screaming, no running after being asked to sit, etc, etc. It really just means behave and be respectful.
6. If you have suggestions, make your thoughts known! We want to know what you think and want to make your experience the best it can be.
7. When disagreements and offenses happen (and they will), Please DO NOT allow it to spread throughout the group. Both parties will settle their differences privately without involving other members; there will be NO taking sides or gossiping allowed among members. We are here for our mutual love of learning and having fun, remember that; if mediating is necessary the parties can consult their parents or other experts for help.
8. Bring to our attention members acting unbecoming, talking/acting inappropriate, or any type of harassment, We have disciplinary steps that will be implemented.
9. The institute will temporarily or permanently expel members who do not follow rules, or cause continuous strife within the group; parents will be notified and informed of offenses and given options on how to proceed with continuation or termination of the group. (Warnings will be given before execution)
10. Work hard together to foster a warm and inviting experience; you are ambassadors not only for homeschoolers but for ELI. Do invite other learning lover friends to join us and most important have fun.
Advance payments are encouraged and come discounted.
A new date will be agreed upon if for any reason a cancelation should happen
There is no refunds for no-shows or late cancelations of any kind.
if 3 days prior notice of absence is given by e-mail you can obtain a rain-check for later sessions.
Facebook messenger messages are not accepted as notice, only e-mail.
Our hope is to bring affordable activities and unique experiences in a classical and modern manner that nurtures creativity and leadership.
This will be done in various manners and facilities to open availability to the surrounding area that are unable to take advantage of many activities due to location or economical constraints.
